The Vintage Festival of Light is so named because as well as being a vintage rally with all the usual attractions, the showground and exhibits are illuminated with hundreds of lights from dusk on Saturday evening.

 

 

 

 

The event is held on Ashover Showground, on the edge of the picturesque village of Ashover, in the heart of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

 

Santa will be visiting the site on Friday evening, and on Saturday there will be an illuminated parade around the village by Santa in his sleigh.

 

 

We are hoping that the spectacular 'Meteor' aircraft engine will be visiting the rally again this year on Saturday only.  If so it will be 'fired up' late afternoon and early evening.  This is a truly amazing sight and sound - not to be missed!

 

 

 

Food is available throughout the weekend from our catering van, there are stalls and crafts, and a licensed bar! 

 

 

There will be bingo and a raffle in the bar on Friday Evening, and entertainment on Saturday Evening with the Prize Giving and an Auction and Raffle.

 

  

We are once again holding our very popular conker tournament.  The winner will take half the proceeds so the more that join in, the more you could win!!  

 

 

 

Sunday morning we have an auction, so bring your unwanted items and see if you can make a few pounds, or just come along and see if you can pick up a bargain!

 

 

 

'Tractor Trials' will again be taking place all weekend.  There will be tractor balancing and all sorts of other antics using a tractor!  A trophy will be awarded for the most points so come on all you tractor drivers, get out there and have a go!

 

 

Finally, as usual, bring along lots of lights and light up your exhibit or caravan, as there will be a trophy for the best lights!
